📝 Key Specifications

  • Sample Size: Compressive strength ke liye aksar $50 \times 50 \times 50$ mm ke cubes ya cylinders use kiye jate hain.

  • Conditioning: Testing se pehle stones ko 72 ghante tak pani mein dubokar rakha jata hai taaki "Saturated Condition" mein strength check ho sake.

  • Rate of Loading: Load ko dhire-dhire badhaya jata hai (aksar $140$ kg/sq cm per minute).

  • Calculation:

✅ Stone Quality Standards (As per IS Codes)

Ek ache building stone ki compressive strength kam se kam 100 MPa (1000 kg/cm²) honi chahiye. Agar pathar ki strength 60 MPa se kam hai, toh use structural kaam ke liye acha nahi mana jata.

  1. Compressive Strength (Part 1): * Pathar ka sample cube ($50 \times 50 \times 50$ mm) ya cylinder shape mein hota hai.

    • Testing se pehle stones ko 72 ghante tak pani mein dubokar (saturation) rakha jata hai.

    • Ek acche building stone ki strength 100 MPa (1000 kg/cm²) se zyada honi chahiye.

  2. Water Absorption (IS 1124): * Halanki strength IS 1121 se check hoti hai, lekin absorption ke liye IS 1124 use hota hai. Acche stone ke liye ye 5% se kam hona chahiye.
